-
- Nope. Virtual 3.0 works on any Mac (other than the Plus, SE and Classic)
- equipped with a 68030 or 68020/68851 combination; the LC has the 68020
- but not the 68851 PMMU. Virtual 3.0 will work on the LC if you add a
- 68030 accelerator. (Currently, Virtual 3.0 doesn't work on 68040-based
- Macs.)
-
- Connectix also makes Compact Virtual, which will let a Plus, SE or
- Classic use virtual memory *if* a compatible accelerator is installed.
- Apple's virtual memory scheme doesn't work in this situation; the
- Connectix product is the only VM solution for these machines.
-
- NOTE: I am not an employee of Connectix, but I beta tested Virtual 3.0
- and I'm a satisfied user.
