  12. I'd have to look a little at your stack before I could help you with
  13. the first problem which is figuring out where the cursor is.  The
  14. second problem seems easy - but the scripting level must be Authoring
  15. or Scripting to have it work - select (before/after//) chunk
  16. e.g. select after char 1 of line 3 of card field x.
  17. That reestablishes your insertion point, and so TYPE will now work, if
  18. you choose that route.
