- an undergraduate here at Cal who knows HyperTalk, and has general Mac
- skills. Don't know if anyone who fits this description reads this newsgroup,
- but I figure that it's worth a try:

- COMPUTER AS LEARNING PARTNER
- UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY

- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

- o Implement program specifications through modifying existing code and
- writing new code

- o Test tools developed for 8th grade science classroom
-
- o Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software on Macintosh
- computers
-
- o Copy, compress, and send software to people that need it
-
- o Search online sites to locate software utilities and programs (xcmds)
- for use in classroom

- o Write programmer documentation
-
- o Write user documentation
-
- o Other duties as assigned

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
- Graduation from high school and two years experience in laboratory and
- programming environments or two years of college including natural,
- physical, or social sciences, or eight years of experience, education,
- knowledge and abilities for the performance of duties assigned. In
- addition, the applicant should have experience programming in
- HyperTalk, maintaining Macintosh computers, and working with various
- Macintosh file formats. The ability to work with others is also
- essential.

- DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience programming
- in C. Access to a car is also helpful.

- INITIAL APPOINTMENT:
-
- Employment begins as soon as possible, with hours ranging from 25-50%
- time during the the semester, and up to 100% during the summer. Pay rate
- is $10.74 per hour. Appointment end date is December 31, 1993, with
- possible extension after that date.
