  12. The official job description is below, but essentially I'm looking for
  13. an undergraduate here at Cal who knows HyperTalk, and has general Mac
  14. skills. Don't know if anyone who fits this description reads this newsgroup,
  15. but I figure that it's worth a try:

  18. COMPUTER AS LEARNING PARTNER

  21. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  23. o Implement program specifications through modifying existing code and 
  24. writing new code
  25.  
  26. o Test tools developed for 8th grade science classroom
  27.  
  28. o Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software on Macintosh 
  29. computers
  30.  
  31. o Copy, compress, and send software to people that need it
  32.  
  33. o Search online sites to locate software utilities and programs (xcmds) 
  34. for use in classroom
  35.  
  36. o Write programmer documentation
  37.  
  38. o Write user documentation
  39.  
  40. o Other duties as assigned

  43. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  44.  
  45. Graduation from high school and two years experience in laboratory and 
  46. programming environments or two years of college including natural, 
  47. physical, or social sciences, or eight years of experience, education, 
  48. knowledge and abilities for the performance of duties assigned.  In 
  49. addition, the applicant should have experience programming in 
  50. HyperTalk, maintaining Macintosh computers, and working with various 
  51. Macintosh file formats. The ability to work with others is also 
  52. essential.

  54. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  56. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience programming 
  57. in C. Access to a car is also helpful.
  58.  
  59. INITIAL APPOINTMENT:
  60.  
  61. Employment begins as soon as possible, with hours ranging from 25-50% 
  62. time during the the semester, and up to 100% during the summer. Pay rate 
  63. is $10.74 per hour. Appointment end date is December 31, 1993, with 
  64. possible extension after that date.
