  14. I will soon be needing to write an interactive simulation of a 
  15. manufacturing system, and someone suggested SuperCard could do it.
  16. Since I don't know any SC experts, can someone in this group
  17. tell me whether Supercard can do the following?  I've browsed
  18. through the manual but don't have all the answers.
  19.  
  20. 1)  Create new objects while running, based on a random number generator.
  21. 2)  Drag an object across the screen, and have the location where it's
  22. dropped be an input to the scripts.
  23. 3)  Create a file of everything that happens, along with the time it
  24. happened.  (I'm pretty sure it can do this.)
  25. 4)  Draw one object on top of another (so that the one underneath is
  26. partially occluded).
  27. 5)  Change the shape of an object based on some input to the script.
  28. 6)  Change the colour of an object based on some input.  (I think a
  29. message in this group mentioned a traffic light turning from green
  30. to red, so I gather this is possible.)

  32. One way to look at what I'm doing is as rapid prototyping of a 
  33. manufaturing system direct-manipulation control panel, so if anyone
  34. has any pointers to systems other than Supercard that might be more 
  35. appropriate, please let me know.  I couldn't find a rapid-prototyping
  36. newsgroup.
