  22. In the same vein: I'm trying to develop a stack that seems to crash
  23. if QuickTime 1.0 is loaded. I think it's crashing when it invokes
  24. Rinaldi's otherwise terrific StrWidth external, but I'm not entirely
  25. sure. Anyway, I would like to have the stack check for the presence
  26. of QuickTime in the user's System or Extensions folders, so as to be
  27. able to issue a warning to the user.

  29. Two questions:
  30. (1) Does anyone know about conflicts between HC (or externals) and QT?
  31. (2) Could someone please, please, PLEASE email or post an EXAMPLE of how
  32. to use GetDir? I'm not a programmer, and GetDir's syntax documentation
  33. seems much more complex and obscure than usual -- in any case, I can't
  34. for the life of me figure it out, even after an hour of trial and error
  35. (100 per cent error, sigh). (I've been able to figure out others fine.)
