- I'm looking for a good driver to use on my SyQuest drive.
-
- I just got a an 88c (from Mass Micro) and I also use cartridges in an 88
- and
- some in a 44 also. I use some 44 and some 88 M cartridges.
-
- I've tried three drivers so far.
-
- Mass Micros (3.0) doesn't recognize that when I put a 44M cartridge in an
- 88
- (non-C) that it can't be written to. It doesn't display a 'lock' icon in
- the
- disk windows, instead just gives a disk error when I try to write a file.
-
- MicroNet (5.4.4) puts up the 'insert disk' dialog when the cartridge is
- already installed and sometimes the disks show up as 'ejected' when they
- are initially mounted. anyway, when either of these happen I have to
- spin down the cartridge and spin it back up to use it.
-
- I used to use Disk Manager Mac (2.1? or something like that) and SyQuests
- formatted with it don't show up in Disk First Aid unless they are the
- boot disk. They say '--no disk found--' instead.
-
-
- Somebody please help me. I'll pay a reasonable amount of money for a
- driver
- which handles all my problems well.
-
- Please e-mail replies.
