- I recently read about an "upgrade" one could perform on a Mac SI,
- where by replacing the 40 MHz oscillator chip on the motherboard
- with a $7 50 MHz chip one could accelerate the SI's performance
- by as much as 63%. This is a totally unauthorized upgrade and
- will void the warranty, but sounds like it might be worthwhile.

- Anyway, owning a Classic II and not an SI, I am asking the networld
- if anyone has ever attempted a similar operation on the Classic II.
