- Here's a quote from a BMUG article in MicroTimes:

- numbers: 7000001-7101012, 5378111-5624450, and 9000001-9029500. The
- problem is a defective high-voltage capacitor that can cause
- intermittent shutdowns of both monitor and Mac. The program runs until
- March, 1993. If you paid for out-of-warranty service, Apple will
- reimburse you if paperwork is processed by August 15, 199}i3. For more

- You should be able to get your monitor fixed for free if it has
- one of the above serial numbers even if you aren't the original
- owner. Better get it done by March, though. Hope this info helps.
