  12. I got careless last week and picked up my Powerbook from the desk 
  13. without looking.  Something had hooked the door and broke it off.
  14. Sigh.  But then I got to looking at it and decided to try to fix
  15. it.  The little nub was gone and a small bit of the raised portion
  16. was gone but most of that base was there.  So I took a large 
  17. paper clip and heated it.  Using the clip I pushed the plastic 
  18. around a little to build up the platform and pushed the clip into
  19. the base.  As the clip cooled, it stuck.  I cut the clip off with
  20. just a nub sticking out of the door, filed the nub round on the
  21. end so it was about the same size and the nub that had broke off.
  22. Walah, it works.  I reinstalled the door and its fine.  The 
  23. work is hardly noticeable.  Something to try if you break that
  24. prize machine.
