  15. My trusty old SE/30 is in need of a new logic board.  The nearest Apple
  16. dealer is willing to replace it for $1,200 + labor, and I was wondering if
  17. there is a cheaper way to bring it back to life.

  19. I suppose I should just write it off and replace it, but I kind of like it and
  20. would be willing to spend a few hundred bucks fixing it (keep it as a second
  21. machine), but $1,200 is a lot of money.

  23. Anyway, if you know of a cheaper source of a new logic board (can these things
  24. be fixed by anyone but a Apple dealer?), I would appreciate if you let me
  25. know.
