- Hi,
-
- My trusty old SE/30 is in need of a new logic board. The nearest Apple
- dealer is willing to replace it for $1,200 + labor, and I was wondering if
- there is a cheaper way to bring it back to life.
-
- I suppose I should just write it off and replace it, but I kind of like it and
- would be willing to spend a few hundred bucks fixing it (keep it as a second
- machine), but $1,200 is a lot of money.
-
- Anyway, if you know of a cheaper source of a new logic board (can these things
- be fixed by anyone but a Apple dealer?), I would appreciate if you let me
- know.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Gunnar Palmason
