- I've been having trouble with an internally-terminated SCSI device (a Bernoulli
- MacTransportable), and the troubles look like the internal termination is a
- little erratic. Iomega's tech service folks suggested that I add a terminator
- block to the equation to see if that helps, i.e.
- [MacSE/30] >----cable-----< [TerminatorBlock][InternallyTerminatedBernoulli]
- For what it's worth, the terminator that I have is of the II/fx flavor.
- This goes against what I've read about SCSI termination, since that means that
- I have THREE terminators present. It also seems odd that the terminator isn't
- at the end of the chain -- it's in between the cable and the last device.
- My major fears are that (1) this will damage something (2) this will only work
- erratically (3) this will not work at all (4) this will not work when I add
- more SCSI devices.
- Can anyone shed any additional light on the subject?
