- Three possible problems:
- 1) Defective cable, see Marshall's previous post.

- 2) Modem cable. The effect is the same as (1), same treatment too.

- 3) Wrong port. Connect the cable to the modem (phone icon) port on the back of your
- Mac, and make sure the modem port is selected when you choose the driver. The printer
- port will work, but the modem port is the standard place to connect a printer, as the
- printer port is the standard place to connect AppleTalk (don't ask me, ask Apple).
