- After reading about everyone hacking their si's and ci's to bits
- upgrading them with a faster oscillator, I began to wonder if that is
- possible on my se/30. Today I was doing a little PM on the machine, so
- it was ripped right down. On the mother board their are 3 oscillators.
- Y1 is the real-time clock, Y2 is the main 31.xxxx oscillator. And Y3 is
- an unknown XTAL whose frequency I couldn't determine. Now I was
- wondering if anyone knew what circuitry other than the 68030 and 68882
- are run off the main (Y2) Xtal. Do the serial drivers use it. This is
- my biggest fear. If the serial drivers use the main Xtal, they may
- become useless to me which I cannot have. If anyone knows anything
- about the se/30 hardware. I would love to hear from you via e-mail.

- Thanks..... Andrew
