- I agree with Gregory Silvus in a previous post that the Best way to remove
- the crystal is to just cut the leads and remove the pins one by one. It is
- certainly worth the price of a new 40MHz oscillator as I am sure he can attest
- to. The part is probably too close to the board to get wire cutters in there
- but maybe a dremel tool with a thin cutoff disk would work well. In any case
- inching the pins out a little bit with the soldering iron and then cutting
- should certainly work. You don't want to mess up the through plating and
- what does a 40 MHz oscillator cost, $1.00 ??
