  17. I'm trying to put a DEC DSP3105 3.5" hard disk drive into an  old
  18. Macintosh  II.   Unfortunately I have not succeeded. MacEnvy will
  19. spot "something" on SCSI ID 1, all formatting (Apples  HD  Setup,
  20. Norton  Utilities,  and  Microtech's  HD Formatter) software I've
  21. tried failed to recognize the drive. Microtech's HD Formatter re-
  22. ported the following when moving the cursor over the "ID 1" radio
  23. button:

  29. But it would not enable the format button.

  31. I can see BSY LED flash (which is NOT equivalent to the SCSI  BSY
  32. signal)  whenever  I  try  to  select the drive (using any of the
  33. above SW).

  35. Below is some spec on the drive and a MacEnvy report of the  sys-
  36. tem. SCSI ID 0 is a Microtech drive which is working fine.

  38. Have anybody used a DEC DSP3105 on their  Mac  or  is  there  any
  39. (hopefully   ftp'able)  generic  formatting/driver  software  out
  40. there. Oh, BTW I installed two DEC DSP3105's in my  SPARCStatsion
  41. II without any problems.
