  21. I have had a similar problem with two duo 230s I purchased.  In each case,
  22. after about 8 hours of use, the lower button would click twice for each
  23. time I pressed.  To be more precise, it made a 'click' sound twice,
  24. but only registered one click, so it was more annoying than a real problem.
  25. I took the first one back, but when it happened on the second one I
  26. decided to take a look (not wanting to spend another 3 hours moving
  27. files over appletalk).  It seems that the circuit board under the button
  28. eventually flexes.  In my case that meant a second click sound, but I could
  29. see that after a longer amount of time it would mean no click at all!

  31. What I did was to wedge a thick peice of paper between the board and the
  32. lower case of the unit, this prevents the board from flexing down when
  33. you press on the button.  Has been workng for the last week no problem.

  35. I also don't like the way the bottom corners of the keyboard bend when
  36. you press a key - it has the same problem - there is no support under
  37. those corners.  When you drop $2500 on a machine, you would think it
  38. would not have this kind of manufacturing defect!
