- I bought a PowerBook 160 just before Christmas last year, and have
- been using it extensively (I use one battery fully and another to the
- first power warning most days) since that time. Tonight, I took it
- out of my satchel and woke it up, and to my dismay found that the
- lower mouse button was stuck.
-
- It is not in the "click" position, so it is still fully possible to
- use the PB with the top button. However, I must press the bottom
- button _very_ firmly (in fact, I think what I am doing is bending the
- button enough to make contact) to register a click.
-
- I'd very much like to repair the problem myself, if possible. Our
- local campus reseller has a "first in, first out" policy on repairs
- which means that I would have to leave the machine with them for three
- or four days, even though the repair would most likely take minutes.
- As I have a handicap which makes writing very difficult, I really
- can't afford to have three or four days of missed notes, etc.
-
- Has anyone experienced a similar problem before? If so, can I fix it
- myself? How?
-
- Thanks for your help.
