- A friend of mine is converting from the MS-DOS
- world to the Macintosh world. His constant
- comment is, "this is so easy, not like in the DOS
- world", just about ten times a phone call.
-
- Anyway, he has a HP Desk Jet Plus that was connected
- to his MS-DOS bag-of-bolts. According to HP, this
- printer cannot work with the Mac without a hardware
- solution, serial to parallel conversion or some such.
-
- I know that the Orange Micro Grappler will probably
- work but does anyone have any first hand experience
- with its use with this printer?
-
- The second question is, is there a software solution?
- This printer has a serial interface, can this be
- used with a standard serial cable from the mac and
- the proper software? Has anyone done this?
-
- Thanks a ton, John
