  10. This is an out_of_left_field question but...does anyone know if HP will be
  11. upgrading the DeskWriter in any way in the next 3 to 6 months. In particular,
  12. I'm wondering if perhaps HP plans to increase the resolution of the DW's output
  13. to say, 360 or 400 dpi?

  15. Note that I have no basis for this question. I'm just planning to buy a DW in
  16. the near future and want to know if I should hold off a bit. Seems to me that
  17. by increasing the DW's output quality HP could pull the rug right out from
  18. underneath the SW ][, thus making it a logical marketing move. OTOH, maybe they
  19. wouldn't want to lure potential buyers of lower end HP laser printers away from
  20. the higher priced products.
