- Are you waiting until you are *asked* to insert the envelope? If you don't, you
- will see the behaviour you describe. For the StyleWriter I, at least, it is
- manual feeding for envelopes. You have to:
-
- 1) Ensure you selected envelope in page setup (as you did).
- 2) Print.
- 3) Wait for the dialog box to ask you to insert the next sheet.
- 4) Push the Ready button on the SW (the light goes out).
- 5) Insert the envelope from the rear, ensuring you keep it parallel so it is
- aligned properly.
- 6) At a certain moment as you insert it, the SW 'grabs' it and advances it a
- little.
- 7) Push ready again (the light goes on).
- 8) Push Enter to dismiss the dialog box. Printing occurs.
- 9) Er....
- 10) Thats it.
-
- I do this regularly with no problems. The SW II has a tray which can hold
- 15 envelopes which it can feed automatically, so this problem goes away. Also
- don't forget, with the SW I, the little lever to switch from printing envelopes
- to printing paper (it changes the head position slightly). This lever is inside
- on the SW I, so I sometimes forget to switch it. On the SW II, it is outside
- so will be harder to forget.
