- Well, theres also Altsys Virtuoso, by the people who wrote Freehand. I've
- heard a rumor that Quark is on the way. I think when NS486 comes out,
- a lot more people will have NS on their desks, encouraging more big players
- to port to NeXTSTEP.

- NeXT's could use some more power, that's for sure. The 586 and HP (maybe)
- ports should help that.

- Also, one has to consider the overhead of the object-oriented software. Almost
- no NeXT software is optimized with assembly (I may be wrong, but it kind of
- breaks the whole OOPS thing, not to mention portability).

- And there is a lot more going on on a NeXT than a Mac.

- Overall, I'd agree that NeXT's aren't as fast as they should be. They aren't
- dogs, but I don't think they've found the best platform for the OS.
- Hopefully, that will be solved this year.
