- At work, where we have about a dozen 13" Apple HiRes monitors in use,
- I've had 3 of them go bad just as you describe over the past 3 years.
- The problem was a flaky high-voltage capacitor (at least that's what
- the repair shop claimed each time), which is supposedly a common
- problem with the older 13" from Apple.
