  15.     I have a new APS Quantum LPS240 external disk that every 30-60 seconds goes
  16. into seek mode for about 2-3 seconds. It does this even when the disk isn't plug
  17. into the Mac. If I just have the power applied to the drive and at least one scsi
  18. cable or terminator connected it does this.

  20.     I called APS and the first guy I got said that it wasn't normal and had me
  21. check some jumpers on the drive. The second guy I called said that it was normal
  22. for the disk to do this when it is idle to fix a 'sticktion' problem. When it
  23. does
  24. this the drive access light doesn't come on.

  26.     Is this realy normal???
