  13. I recently posted a question in this group about problems we're having upgrading
  14. a Mac Plus from 2.5 megabytes to 4 megabytes.  Thanks to the many people who
  15. responded, indicating that resistors R8 and R9 need to be cut.  I went and
  16. checked and they are indeed cut (actually, one is cut and one isn't there).  So
  17. I'm still puzzled as to why the Mac Plus won't boot properly with 4 megabytes. 
  18. The vendor who sold us the additional 2 megabytes claims that they worked when we
  19. returned them (two separate attempts:one set was 70 ns access, the other
  20. 100 ns).

  22. Do all 4 sets of megabyte chips have to have the same access time? (Our current
  23. working set says "M8" on the chips, so I'm guessing they're 80 ns.) Is there
  24. anything else anyone can think of that might be causing this problem?
