- I have a REALLY irritating problem. With my Modem Port.
- The machine is a MacIIfx. A while back I had one of those Teleport
- ADB Modems, and it emulated the serial modem port. I never had to
- actually use the modem port phisically for anything. Well, I got
- a new modem recently and tried to plug it in to the modem port. No
- response. Then I tried my deskwriter there. No dice either. The
- serial port appears to be closed. I SERIOUSLY doubt that it is
- damaged in any way.
-
- What is the cure for this malady. I read from someone else in this
- group that he was experiencing the same problem. Is there a solution
- (ie: would the PRAM thing help, or would I need special software).
- Anything that is shareware would be appreciated.
-
- I really need help here. Please E-mail response to stump1@oss7q.cis.pitt.edu

- BTW, I may call Global Village to see if this is a "frequent" problem.
