  26.     Well, I really don't think there is a way for you to get what you
  27. want. The kind of thing that you want to do is usally accomplished, with
  28. relational databases like 4D and Double Helix, but using a file that
  29. contains your constants, like record numbers, which are accessed and
  30. updated over the live relational link between the files. This is a
  31. capability that FM Pro doesn't have. You might be able to simulate it
  32. with Apple Events, but it would be a real nightmare.
