- I'm not sure if this is the newsgroup to post this question to, so if it isn't
- no flames please, just kindly point me in the right direction and I'll go my
- merry way. That said...
-
- Here at Tech, our group (actually its us grad students) have access to a
- Mac Classic. This Mac doesn`t have a printer, and it is getting to be a
- real pain to trek across campus just to print a two-page paper. There is a
- departmental laser printer available, and we have tried in vain to get
- connected to it. Here's where I have a question.
-
- The Laser printer is hooked up to an appletalk network. When we talk to the
- departmental computer head about hooking us up to the printer, he tells us
- that "The network is full. You'll have to wait until someone leaves." I seem
- to recall from my undergrad days that there isn`t a limit to the number of
- users on an appletalk network. So is this guy, who incidently LOVES IBM clones
- and hates anything Apple, just trying to avoid dealing with us, or is he right?
-
- I could understand having a maximum number of users if it was a LAN, but this
- is just AppleTalk...
-
-
- Thanks,
- Curt
