  31. OK, now I know this isn't the same situation that you have, but her is how
  32. I have a similar link set up. We have an old Model-T GatorBox as a router
  33. for our labs AppleTalk net with a few machines on Ethernet running
  34. EtherTalk. One the machines on Ether has a Supra V32.bis modem running ARA.
  35. So to get my IP address I use the Remote Only selection in MacTCP. Kinda
  36. stupid and kinda slow, but the guys who service our Datability Server say
  37. they can't help us with dynamic PPP???? So name service is kinda funky
  38. occasionally and Apple has there own built in "wonderful" compression"
  39. scheme which means that the link never gets up to 57,600, but I get AUFS
  40. Icons on my Desktop!!!
