- I have got a Mac connected to ARCnet network with Standard Microsystems
- Corporation's SMC ARCNET NB250 Network Controller Board.
- I would like to use it for internetting with MacTCP. Unfortunately the
- board came equipped only with an MacARC AppleTalk ARCNet driver i.e. it
- enables only AppleTalk connections. But, as you know, in case of AppleTalk
- connection MacTCP packs all the TCP/IP packets into AppleTalk ones and
- nobody knows to unpack them again.
-
- So I probably need another driver for the ARCNet card which lets
- the MacTCP think it is on Ethernet.
- Does anybody know are there such ones available for this board?
- I have talked to some local dealers of SMC, they do not know anything
- about the matter.
- Or perhaps some other solutions might help?
