Thunder 7, a spectacular interactive spell checker/thesauras from Baseline,
available from MacWarehouse (800-255-6227) for about $56 has a module called
Ghostwriter (I think that's correct, although it is at home on my IIvx)
which captures all keystrokes. The captured data is kept in a folder in your
system folder. That folder contains folders for each day. Each day's folder
contains a seperate text file for each application you use that day. From the
text file it is straightforward to reconstruct your lost file.
I have been thankful I have it a few times when I trashed the wrong original!
I have also recovered files when I have had crahes. Periodically (every week or so) I empty the main folder and continue from the new point I just established.
I do not have any interest in Baseline or MacWarehoiuse. I am just a satisfied
customer of both.
Peace,
Caryn
