  14.     I was wondering if anyone had any UNIX utilities for cleaning up text.
  15. fmt and col don't seem to be as robust as I need. The problem I'm having
  16. is that Macs seem to think that when I export to ASCII TEXT that it can
  17. go ahead and throw anything above 127 in there as well. This includes those
  18. pretty-double-quotes and other formatting stuff.
  19.     The files are coming from QuarkXpress, through Word and being exported
  20. as Text. I've tried all of the different formats: PC Text, UNIX, etc and they
  21. all have the same cruft in 'em.
  22.     I can write it myself but I hate re-inventing the wheel
  23.
