  23. crazy.

  30. Current version (4.14) is faster than the original, and can be 
  31. speeded up by allocating it lots of memory, but its still slow 
  32. (even on an accellerated IIci).  I use it because I can't find 
  33. anything better to discontinuous, non-linear, curve fitting.
