  13. Some features of Statview (Jandel) will not run under System 7.0.1 unless the 
  14. System 7 Tuner is removed from the system.  According to Jandel tech support 
  15. this has to do which how the tuneup handles floating point math.

  17. Curve fitting routines, for example will not run with tuneup installed, and 
  18. some transforms will also not run.  Its not that the just won't run, attempting 
  19. to run will cause a system freeze and require a reboot.

  21. To get Statview to run:
  22. 1)  Remove System 7 Tuner from the extensions folder (I remove it entirely 
  23. by putting it on a floppy - just moving it to the desk top may work also).
  24. 2)  Restart
  25. 3)  Remember to put System 7 Tuner back, and restart afterwards (I'm not 
  26. sure of the consequences of running other software without System 7 Tuner).

  28. This is a pain, but this is the best (in fact the only) software I've found for 
  29. fitting complex, nonlinear and/or discontinuous functions to large data sets.
