- Some features of Statview (Jandel) will not run under System 7.0.1 unless the
- System 7 Tuner is removed from the system. According to Jandel tech support
- this has to do which how the tuneup handles floating point math.
-
- Curve fitting routines, for example will not run with tuneup installed, and
- some transforms will also not run. Its not that the just won't run, attempting
- to run will cause a system freeze and require a reboot.
-
- To get Statview to run:
- 1) Remove System 7 Tuner from the extensions folder (I remove it entirely
- by putting it on a floppy - just moving it to the desk top may work also).
- 2) Restart
- 3) Remember to put System 7 Tuner back, and restart afterwards (I'm not
- sure of the consequences of running other software without System 7 Tuner).
-
- This is a pain, but this is the best (in fact the only) software I've found for
- fitting complex, nonlinear and/or discontinuous functions to large data sets.
