- A little while ago, I posted asking about a word processor that would journal
- keystrokes/mouse clicks so a file could be recovered if the computer crashed.
- I have since found out that Wordperfect has an adequate capacity for this.
- While it seems to not exactly "journal" user activities, it has a timed
- backup feature which causes the file to be written (either to a temporary
- file or to the original) at whatever interval you specify (granularity seems
- to be a minute). If the system crashes, when Wordperfect is restarted, it
- notices the presence of the temporary files and asks whether you would like
- to recover from them, into an untitled window. I've exercised this feature
- several times, and it seems robust.

- Note that unlike Word's Autosave feature, which bothers the user with a
- dialog each time, Wordperfect's method is transparent to the user.
