  14. I recently bought a suprafax modem which came with Microphone
  15. 1.something.  It's vt102 emulation was lacking.  When connected to a
  16. garden variety bulletin board it couldn't handle all of the escape
  17. sequences.  When I switched to ClarisWorks, no problemo.  I haven't
  18. used the scripting, but understand it is pretty thin.  One other note:
  19. when downloading at 14.4kbps, the download took twice as long as it
  20. should have.  I don't know if this was the fault of ClarisWorks, a
  21. poorly configured modem, or noisy phone lines.

  23. First impressions of ClarisWorks is good, though.  It was free (with
  24. my Performa), it works, I'm happy :-).
