  10. I'm trying to implement word's feature for linking files so that
  11. page numbers from document #1 carries through to document #2. This
  12. is for a law school periodical.

  14. I've tried word 4.0's instructions, namely...
  15.  
  16. under 'document', i click 'next file' and link to file #2
  17.  
  18. then, i go to my headers and insert page numbers into both of my documents
  19.  
  20. next, under 'document' i select '1' for first page on doc #1
  21.  
  22. then, on doc #2, i *try* to put '0' for first page...no effect. It doesn't
  23. stay as '0', but simply comes up blank.
  24.  
  25. What am i doing wrong!!?
