- I have made the MacGambit Scheme system files available at the FTP-site
-
- SABRINA.DEI.UNIPD.IT [147.162.2.106]
-
- directory
- pub/mac/gambit
-
- since it is one of the best scheme systems available (and not only
- on the mac platform) and is in the public domain.
-
-
- A description of the available files follows:
-
-
- macgambit-1.9.2-interp.cpt.bin
-
- this is the interpreter for the macgambit system. it is a highly
- efficient scheme system for unix mc680x0 systems and every macintosh
- with at least 2 megs of ram. it contains a toolbox interface, online
- help and various goodies.
- it is a fully r4rs and ieee p1178 compliant system with several
- useful extensions. a compiler is available separately, which compiles
- scheme sources into 680x0 code. the format of the object files
- is compatible with the unix version of the system, and the code
- is adapted to the current processor at load-time.
-
-
- macgambit-1.9.2-sources1.cpt.bin
-
- macgambit-1.9.2-sources2.cpt.bin
-
- these two files contain the sources and object files for the whole
- gambit system. the precompiled objects can be used with the
- included linker to build the compiler, as well as the Thomas system
- from DEC, which implements a language similar to Dylan, as described
- in "Dylan, an object oriented dynamic language" by Apple Computer.
- to rebuild the system or to modify it you need Think C 5.0 or later.
-
-
- MacGambit is public domain and copyrighted by the Universite de Montreal.
