  32. Wrong! The Mac is only pumping 8 bit data to the screen.
  33. Wrong! The alpha channel is nonstandard on Macintosh. Big deal that SP3.0 
  34. uses alpha. What happens if you take that alpha'd image and try to use it 
  35. somewhere else? Splat!
