- I own a NeXT, and every commercial app I own uses the second button
- as a second menu pop-up(Mathematica, WriteNow, WordPerfect, Diagram,
- Improv, SoftPC). Even the programs I've gotten from anonymous ftp's
- use it(ALL of them - about 50 programs). You can also drag off the
- submenus you want and keep them close at hand in case you want to
- use them but don't want to pull up the whole menu again.
-
- The second menu is designed in so that you don't HAVE to go to the main
- menu bar or remember command key options. You can just use it
- anywhere in the app you want to pull up the main menu. Kind of
- like how we the middle button here in Rochester under AIX.
-
- I also, though, don't know about X. I've never used it on a NeXT, so
- I'll let somebody else answer that if they choose to.
