  21. Overview
  22.     Paragram is a tool which aids the application developer to model and 
  23.     develop parallel and distributed applications. Paragram offers a 
  24.     sophisticated application development environment which employs a modern 
  25.     graphical user interface. This enables the user to easily visualize the 
  26.     interaction of the various program elements intended to operate in parallel.
  27.     When the application definition is complete, Paragram can generate an 
  28.     executable representation of the application.

  30.     Paragram supports both MIMD and SIMD styles of parallelism, and uses a 
  31.     simplified data-flow diagramming technique to model the parallel 
  32.     interactions. With Paragram, applications may be constructed to utilize 
  33.     both styles at once. SIMD parallel application modeling techniques are 
  34.     created through the very powerful paradigm of node replication without 
  35.     specialized hardware.

  37.     With Paragram, a local network of workstations/servers can perform and 
  38.     behave like a powerful multi-processor supercomputer. Paragram allows 
  39.     applications to be scalable. As the number of processors in the network 
  40.     increases, more data can be processed in a fixed amount of time.
