  12. Hello,  I am considering the possibility of purchasing a laptop
  13. with an active matrix color display.  As far as I am concerned,
  14. they are still about $1000 or so too expensive.  This is based
  15. on the fact that my friend got one of the Toshiba 4400s (i think that is
  16. the model) for about $3500.  Is there any chance that retail models will 
  17. drop this much in price in the near future?  Or will I have to try to buy 
  18. a used one to get the cost down?  Or should I simply "deal with it"?
