- In response to Taimur Khan's report of problems with the ISIS
- long haul spooler and news, he and I will be working together to
- investigate the problem.
-
- However, I wanted to mention that a new version of the long haul
- spooler has been written which has improved performance and is
- more robust. It is currently in beta stage and we hope to ship
- it with the forthcoming ISIS v3.0.8 toolkit. The new version of
- the spooler supports long haul broadcasts (basically a spool call
- which is unreliable - not written to disk) but does not currently
- support long haul ORDERED broadcasts, as the older version does.
- However, this feature is a likely extension in the longer term.
