There are lots of things to consider when one wants to buy a CD-ROM player.
One of those is whether the drive is multi-session or not, it is important
if you want to use PhotoCD.

Wrong!  Speed is indeed important for MultiMedia.  Buying a US$200 drive will
only make you regret later, 'cause they are too slow for MM.
If you use it for your BBS, then speed is not important.
