  12. Hi everyone...

  14. I was doing my first scan using McAfee's SCAN 8.9V97 on my computer
  15. and this is what I found out :

  17. 1) Fresh from reboot, SCAN reported everything's fine with this
  18.    message -
  19.  
  20. > Scanning memory for critical viruses.
  21. > [Scanning 64K RAM - Scanning 1088K RAM]
  22. > Scanning for known viruses.
  23. >
  24. > Scanning Volume: MS-DOS_5
  25. > [Scanning partition table of disk C: ....]
  26. ....
  27.  
  28. 2) Then I rerun SCAN for the second time and this is what I got -
  29.  
  30. > Scanning memory for critical viruses.
  31. > [Scanning 64K RAM - Scanning 1088K RAM]
  32. >  Found the Filler [Filler] Virus active in memory.
  33. >
  34. >  Power down the system immediately.
  35. >  Reboot from a clean, write protected system diskette and then
  36. >  re-run SCAN to determine extent of hard disk infection.

  38. What's wrong?  I'm running Stacker 3.0 and using a Bernoulli Drive,
  39. a sound card and a CDROM.
