  10. My experience with Gateway has been quite satisfactory. I ordered my GW 66V
  11. with just 2 extras -- the modem and 16MB memory. I was told I would get it
  12. in 3 weeks but was delighted to receive it exactly TWO weeks! This was about
  13. a month and a half back -- around thanksgiving.

  15. I did have a problem with my order though. I had ordered and paid for 16MB
  16. memory but received only 12MB. Took me a while to reach customer support and
  17. convince them that it was their mistake. They agreed to send me an extra 4MB
  18. SIMM. To allow myself room for future upgrades, I asked them to send me 2
  19. 8MB SIMMS instead of the 4MB so that when I receive the 2 8s I could send
  20. them back the 3 4s I already had.

  22. I got the 2 8s last week but found that they cannot be used on the Micronics
  23. motherboard that comes with the GW 66V. GW was well aware that I wanted the
  24. 2 8s for 66V but still sent them knowing that they could not be used. I
  25. called them back to get a 16MB SIMM. But apparently 16s are in short supply.
  26. I am settling for 4 x 4s.

  28. I have not sent the 2 8MB SIMMS back (have 14 days to do it). I was
  29. wondering if anyone has tried using these successfully on a MICRONICS
  30. 486 66VLB motherboard.
