- I'd say if it works reliably, then use it. From what I've read, the
- various speeds of memory chips are selected by testing large batches
- and then labeling the chips appropriately. If a manufacturer needs
- slow chips to sell but has only faster ones on hand, it's easy to
- simply label the fast ones as being slower than they are and sell
- them.

- I needed four more megabytes of RAM for my 386-33 but had only 80 ns.
- chips on hand (the first four megabytes was 70 ns.). The first set
- of four that I tried gave me parity errors under Windows 3.1, but
- the second has worked fine for several months.
