  11. Regarding using the HP48 to send the answers to exam questions from
  12. student to student, I seem to recall something published about this
  13. before.  The result was that HP agreed to tint the plastic through
  14. which the IR passes a bit darker, restricting the range.  If you take
  15. the door covering the expansion ports off, you should be able to
  16. defeat the range restriction a bit without having to design radio
  17. transmitters, etc.  I also know of teachers who will perform a 
  18. memory clear on any HP found in a test room.  Anyway, I hope this
  19. answers any relevent questions with reasonably accurate info.
