- It is not, and a PC disk drive cannot read GCR disks.

- Note however that the 1571 is capable or writing and reading MFM disks.
- With some aditional software (several solutions exist) it can read and
- write MS-Dos 360K disks.

- I think with a 1581 the situation is similar for 3.5" disks (I never had a
- 1581, though).
