  17. VT102 & VT100 are quite a bit different!

  19. Essentially, as you say, the cursor controls, and other key controls
  20. are pretty much identical.  The graphics commands, are not!  They
  21. use slightly different character sets.  Such as, if you are using
  22. ANSI - then this:  ╬  will be something resembling a inverse +
  23. in VT100, it will be something quite different!

  25. The VT100/VT200 etc.  vertical line, results in an Atari symbol in
  26. ANSI mode etc.  Trying to use IRC, and other graphic-command intensive
  27. stuff, is not a good idea unless you are using the correct emulation!

  29. (Screen clearing codes are also slightly different, as well as assorted
  30. others....)

  32. Basically, if you are using IRC, use Uniterm or Flash.  (Or, if you
  33. have a fast computer, Connect, or STalker....)
