  11. I hope you aren't calling the 68040 just a speed doubled 68030.  The 68040
  12. has numerous improvements including a larger internal cache and a Floating
  13. Point chip on board.  The larger cache makes it a lot easier to implement
  14. a machine without resorting to wait states or even to an external cache.
  15. The 256 bytes of data and instruction caches each was one of the main reasons
  16. the TT was really not that fast a machine.
